About The Otmoor Challenge

In 1980 Colonel Shephard, then a senior officer at the Army Depot in Bicester and a resident of Horton cum Studley, conceived a run and walk around Otmoor to allow entrants to raise money by sponsorship for charities of their own choice.

The Otmoor Challenge, as he named it, has continued annually since then and now raises funds for local good causes through the money raised from entry fees and donations from walkers and runners.

The Otmoor Challenge is entirely run and organised by volunteers. If you would like to volunteer please get in touch using our Get Involved page
